A night with a sazerac
My new ep is finally here
Lyrically, this mini album is an authentic and personal body of work. The order of the songs is not picked at random. I want to take the listener on a journey around my brain. I wrote most of the songs from a place of hurt and anxiety, but I’m releasing it feeling strong and happy. At the same time, it celebrates and mourns a part of my life that was fun, reckless, confusing, painful, loved and finally concluded in self-reflection and change. If it makes one person slow down for a moment and truly think if they’re living their life to the fullest of their potential, I say my job is done.
I’m immensely proud of this body of work and grateful for the collaborators who got excited about before we even got to the studio.
Ollie Clark - production, arrangement, guitars, bass, drums
Joshua Woolf - additional production, mix and master
Tom Waters - saxophone
Horus Music and my Bethany - distribution and pitching
I leave you all with my little album and look forward to hearing your thoughts about it as well as seeing some of you on my release show next week 23rd of April at Lowers Third in London (tickets available here)
